Anyhow, there were two things I was wondering about: 1. Is there a way to interrupt a call to "read()"? Basically when the player is in one room, there are times when a read() comes up, waiting for the player's input. The problem is that if the player clicks on a link on the web interface, the read should end gracefully, not sit there and continue to demand some input. Is there a way to do this? 2. Is there a way to turn error/debugging off for the common player? Right whenever there's an error within the MOO, I get an error trace-back, which is good for me, but if there are errors within the MOO, I wouldn't want them publicly displayed for every player. Any thoughts? Thanks! A friend of mine wrote an interface that had a prop called "debugging" 0 was off 1 was players and 2 was wizards. I'm sure with a bit of thought you can make it so that it works on a player by player basis. IE trap all errors and send to list X or Trap all errors and spam only those with there debugging prop to on. I'll see what I can find for you on the "C" answer. Just do me a favor as busy as I get IRL drop me a note if I don't comment on it with the week. :) ShadowDragon -----Original Message----- From: encore-bounce@utdallas.edu [mailto:encore-bounce@utdallas.edu] On Behalf Of Jean-Marc Giffin Sent: Wednesday, August 02, 2006 10:30 AM To: encore@utdallas.edu Subject: [encore] Two Quick Questions Hey, As a side note, I haven't received anything from this mailing list in a long time... am I still on it?
